OK, I've been asked this question a million times and it's so hard for me to say this drawn out answer that is something like, "Well, we don't actually have a color scheme per se...we're doing peacock feathers in the centerpieces and then the girls' dresses are a color in between royal blue and navy, soooo..."
What am I supposed to say, though? I really don't have "colors" that all the wedding is done up in. Anyone else have something similar going on? What do you say to keep it short when explaining?

I get that question all the time too! and never know how quite to answer it!:)

How many of these people actually care about the response? I would just say "peacock blue and navy" and then if they press it, give the schpiel you just gave. If not, let it ride.
I want to do a bunch of greens and cream and ivory and white and pewter. When people ask, I simply say "emerald and pewter" because it shuts them up and it's not really a lie.
Ok, clearly I'm a little late on this one but I've been swamped at work and am just now taking some time to catch up with your blog! This question drives me NUTS b/c I don't have an answer either!! I'm basically having a white wedding - flowers, linens, etc., with some silver mixed in (silver candlesticks on the table, etc.) - and the BM dresses are silver/gold so they're also in the neutral metallic-y family. But when I say "white" people are like "...oh" like they don't get it. Why is this so hard to understand?! Arghhh. I'm sure I have been guilty of asking brides about their wedding colors in the past but I am now officially vowing never to ask this obnoxious question again!
